As our readers and followers on Twitter and Facebook may have noticed, we have shared photos and updates during the days 9th and 10th of July with the #ECSM2015 tag. In case you wondered what was the reason behind, the story started at ECSM 2015 in Porto. And here is the plot.

Before I start with describing the fruitful experience gained during the European Conference of Social Media 2015, let me give you a short introduction. In the beginning of 2015, M-Factor team conspired in conducting a research related to influence of social media on public awareness and marketing campaign, referring to the promotion of a web page. To refresh the memory, the link for the post from January is here. YOU have helped us to make our plan realistic and achieve our goals. For that we are genuinely grateful! This research was submitted to the 2nd European Conference on Social Media 2015.  Going through peer review and passing the final evaluation, I can proudly say that our research got published in conference proceedings and we were invited to present our poster at the conference. Check the photos bellow for a sneak peek at the materials I have mentioned.

Charming Porto is a wonderful place to organize the conference. Learning something new, presenting your work, networking, brainstorming and opinion sharing is nicely wrapped up in the smell of the ocean, delicious food, seducing wine and warm hearted people. The conference venue was ISCAP University, that appeared to be a great host.

The first day of the conference started with welcome speeches by organizers (ACPI) and hosts. Immediately after, the conference was divided in tracks by the nature of the topics and each track was consisted of 3-4 paper presentations.

The perfect way to end the first conference day in Porto is to have a dinner in one of the famous wine cellars. Enriching senses with delicacies was followed by informal discussions and networking. Plus, we have learned a bit of how wine was produced. Pretty impressive!

It is not in question that people who presented their papers, keynote speakers and poster presenters have done a tremendous jobs to contribute to their sciences. Moreover, in the academic and professional environment it is easy to get inspiration and trigger ideas for future paths.

The second day of conference, among following the same practice of keynote speakers and tracks, one hour was reserved for posters presentation. M-Factor team got valuable insights and advises for future research. Moreover, we have collected opinions by distinguished experts, professors, researchers and academia members.

To wrap up, we have ideas to follow in the future and develop our research in the best possible way. Moreover, M-Factor was introduced to international community and therefore we are very proud and honored. M-Factor team is looking forward to accomplishments yet to come and would like to thank you for being the part of this story!
